Data Deletion & Disconnection

Operated by Xborder Technologies, Cologne, Germany  ·  Contact: support@whosta.com

You are in control of your data. You can disconnect any integration, revoke Google access, or request full deletion of your account at any time. This page explains exactly how to do each of these things.

Disconnect a Google Ads integration

Disconnecting removes Whosta’s access to your Google Ads account and immediately deletes the stored OAuth credentials.

1

Sign in to Whosta

Go to whosta.com/login and sign in to your account.

2

Open your dashboard

Navigate to your dashboard and find the Google Ads integration card.

3

Click Disconnect

Click the “Disconnect” button on the Google Ads integration card and confirm when prompted.

4

Credentials are deleted immediately

Whosta immediately revokes the OAuth refresh token at Google and deletes it from our systems. Cached access tokens are cleared. Any imported Google Ads data will be deleted within 30 days.

Revoke Whosta’s access directly at Google

You can revoke Whosta’s access to your Google account independently of the Whosta dashboard — this is useful if you cannot sign in to Whosta or want to be certain access is removed at the Google level.

1

Go to your Google Account

Visit myaccount.google.com/permissions.

2

Find Whosta in the list

Locate Whosta in the list of apps with access to your Google account.

3

Click Remove access

Click “Remove access” and confirm. Google will immediately invalidate Whosta’s OAuth credentials. Whosta will detect this the next time it attempts to use the token and will mark the connection as requiring re-authorisation.

Request deletion of your Whosta account

Deletion is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered. Export any reports or data you wish to keep before requesting deletion.

To request deletion of your Whosta account and all associated data:

1

Disconnect all integrations first (recommended)

Disconnecting integrations before requesting deletion revokes OAuth tokens immediately and removes imported data without waiting for the deletion queue. You can do this from your dashboard as described above.

2

Send a deletion request by email

Email support@whosta.com with the subject line “Account Deletion Request” and include the following information:

  • The email address registered to your Whosta account
  • Your Whosta account name or username (if different from your email)
  • Whether you want to delete only specific data categories or the entire account

Do not include passwords, API keys, access tokens, or any other credentials in your email.

3

Identity verification

We will verify that you are the account owner before processing the deletion request. We may ask you to confirm from the registered email address or to answer security questions. We will not ask for passwords or payment card details.

4

Acknowledgement and processing

We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days. Your account and associated data will be deleted or anonymised within 30 days of acknowledgement. You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete.

What is deleted

On account deletion, the following data is removed or anonymised within 30 days:

  • Your account profile (name, email address, hashed password)
  • All OAuth credentials and connection records for all integrations
  • All cached access tokens (cleared immediately on disconnection)
  • Imported ecommerce data (orders, products, stock, sales history)
  • Imported Google Ads data (campaign data, keyword data, reports)
  • Usage history and session records
  • Any AI-generated reports or query history stored in Whosta

What may be retained

The following categories of information may be retained after account deletion where required by law or for legitimate purposes:

  • Billing, accounting, invoice, and tax records: retained for the applicable statutory period under German commercial and tax law. Depending on the type of document, the required period may be six, eight, or ten years. Whosta retains only what is necessary to comply with the applicable legal obligation. These records contain transactional information only, not your integration or advertising data.
  • Security and fraud-prevention logs: records of failed login attempts or suspicious activity may be retained for up to 24 months for security and legal purposes.
  • Support correspondence: records of support communications may be retained for up to 3 years after the matter is closed.
  • Legal compliance evidence: records necessary to demonstrate compliance with applicable law or to defend legal claims.
  • Anonymised aggregated data: statistical information that does not identify you may be retained indefinitely for service improvement.

Request deletion of specific imported data

If you want to delete data imported from a specific integration (for example, your Google Ads data) without closing your entire account, email support@whosta.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request — [Platform Name]” and specify which data you want deleted. We will process the request within 30 days and confirm completion.
